Bad Boy Buggy
A ride on these vehicles offers an adventure of another level to its drivers. The 4״ Buggy is basically a cart with wide tires and wheels! The speciality of this buggy is the open chassis and the incorporation of a modified engine. Based in Natchez, Mississipppi, the BBB crew made the trip down to Austin, Texas for the Austin Alt Car expo this weekend and found a favorable reception for their line of aggressive golf carts. Available in either two- or four-seat configurations, the ETVs use eight 6-volt batteries and a two 13 hp motors (for 26 hp total) that offer 130 foot pounds of torque and can carry 1000 pounds. They soon designed their own chassy and now use no used parts or any one else’s carts. The all new “Bad Boys” are now built one at a time in an assembly plant in Natchez, Mississippi.
However, mass-produced four-wheel-drive electric carts are. The one-of-a-kind electric four-wheel-drive Bad Boy SUV is the brainchild of a couple of hunters who wanted a silent way to haul them and their gear through the woods without startling game. The appropriately named Bad Boy Buggies brought what it says is the first electric four-wheel drive vehicle, even if it does look like a jacked-up golf cart. It’s emissions-free, of course, and the fuel cost is 9 cents every 5 miles compared to 57 cents to go the same distance with a gasoline vehicle. ATV?s and golf carts are known commodities, but a hybrid of those two? That would be a horse of a different color.
